Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m is 7th highest mountain in the world. Trekking to round Dhaulagiri  is one of the challenging trekking in Nepal with its two  difficult high passes above 5200m. The Dhaulagiri Round Trekking starts after 8 hrs riding a regular bus to Babiyachour. Before arriving at Italy base camp, the trail passes through the scenic  villages, Mountain View, local culture and rural life style. The Upper part from Italy Base Camp is considered harder section as the trail is rough with snow and ice, high altitude, crevasses, glaciers.
Trekking above from Italy Base Camp require full camping with sleeping tent, own kitchen and utensils. The Dhaulagiri Round Trekking would be a tuff trek in a bad weather day with snow, ice, clouds and wind. In a normal day, Dhaulagiri circuit trekking is an amazing with a beautiful view of the Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges, Gurja Himal, Puta Chuli, Annapurna Ranges, Manaslu and etc.
The trail to Dhaulagiri Round Trekking is very small and follow through the ridge, crevasse and over snow. After crossing French Col 5300m you will arrive to the hidden valley which is amazing valley surrounded by high mountains. This valley is another difficult section of this trekking in a fuggy or snowy day. March, April/ October, November are considered a good month to trek.  The trek remain closed in the deep winter.
Dhaulagiri Round Trekking must be well organized with experienced guide and high altitude porter with proper clothing’s. Alpine Asian Treks have a well experienced guide to take you there. You will have a day rest to acclimatize before go more high. Our guide will brief about situation, safety and team spirit. This trek will require a proper mountain trekking equipment including crampons, rope, ice axe or etc. The temperature could go down to -25 or bellow in November. You must prepare for cold with down filled jacket, sleeping bag and etc.

Welcome to Nepal !
Alpine Asian Treks representative will be waiting at Nepal airport upon your arrival. Transfer to your hotel and free in the evening to look around. Later we will organize a cultural Nepali dinner at Nepali restaurant. Back to Hotel and night rest.

Enjoy breakfast at Hotel. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel by car. Drive to UNESCO World Heritage site. Afternoon you will drive to our city office for necessary documentation, guide introduction and trip briefing. As the trekking will go above 5300m, you must be aware of Mountain sickness and a proper first aid box before head to trek. If you require any further equipment or etc, you can buy them in Thamel. later back to Hotel and night rest.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drive to bus park. This could be a long (8-9 hours) drive to arrive Babiya chour where you will stay first night. There will be some stop for breakfast, lunch and toilets. Night rest at local guest house.

The trek starts after breakfast. The trail is narrow and hike gently along the river side. Night rest at local house.

The trail climb steeply. The trail offers beautiful view of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Gurja Himal. Night rest at local guest house.

The first part of trekking is comparatively easy. The second part before arriving Bogara, it climbs steep through the Magdi river. The trail is sharp steep to the river and need to take good care while walking. The final part descend down to Bogara village.

The trail is fairly rising. You will see less trees and more mountain. The village are rare. The trails will have lots of ups and down. After a 5 hrs walking you will arrive to the todays destination. Night rest at local house.

This is the last village to this trekking. The trek hike through the bamboo forest. Night rest at local house.

Now you are in the Himalaya. You will be surrounded by the giant mountains. You may feel some difficulties of breathing. Today your crew will fix the camp to stay. They will prepare food in their kitchen. Night rest at Camp.

This is a rest day to acclimatize before hike to more high. Check all your gears and make sure that all is all right. Enjoy the giant view of Dhaulagiri and other mountains. Night rest at Camp.

The trek will go through the glacier, crevasse and traverses. It will require to use rope in some part. This is one of the hard day in this trekking. Night rest at camp.

You will trek over the glacier and ice. This is another challenging day with stunning view of mountains. Night rest at camp.

Take an early breakfast at camp and start trekking to Hidden valley. Walking through the glacier may require a rope. Once arrive at the French pass it will allow the view of Hidden valley which is amazing within the Himalayas. Hidden valley is very tricky when it snows heavily or cloudy. There are many trekkers who have lost their way as it looks very confusing. Our experienced guide will led you the right way to your camp and night rest.

Trek to the pass and the trail goes down sharply. After arriving at a Yak Kharka, there is a village where you can have good food and good sleep. Celebrate the completion of trekking. Night rest at local guest house.

Take an easy morning. Have a breakfast and trek to Jomsom. Night rest at Guest House. Enjoy your last night in the mountain.

Take an early breakfast at your guest house and walk down to airport. Take an trans Himalayan flight to Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel and free day. Night rest at Hotel.

This is a sphere day. If by any reason you could not take your flight previous day, you will fly this day. If you are already in Pokhara you do a sight seeing around the city.  Night rest at Hotel.

Drive to tourist bus park and drive (7:30 am) back to Kathmandu by regular tourist bus. Transfer to Hotel and rest. Night rest at Hotel.

Take a breakfast at Hotel. Take an easy morning around down town. You can do a last minute shopping or etc. Later we will transfer to airport and fly to Home. Sweet home.
